That tough opening game sets the tone for a testing first half of the season where the Blues face all of the top six but for United away from home. City travel to Liverpool and Tottenham in October, host United in November before taking on Chelsea in December.
However, their start after Arsenal does see them face all three promoted teams as well as Huddersfield, Newcastle and Brighton before they take on Liverpool.
Having travelled to Newcastle and Palace last Christmas, City are also on the road at the end of this year; they play Leicester away on Boxing Day and Southampton away on December 29 before a home game against Liverpool on New Year's Day.
