Female Pharmacists partner LASG on drug, substance abuse

The Lagos State Chapter of the Association of Female Pharmacists has pledged to partner Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development in its fight against Drugs and Substances Abuse among the youths.

The Chairman of the Association, Mrs Dupe Alli made this pledge during it’s visit to seek partnership with the Ministry on Drug Abuse.

She said the LASKADA Campaign recently launched by the State Government was a welcome initiative which would help to address the excessive and persistent self-aadministration of drugs without medical prescription among the teeming youths.

“I am very happy with this LASKADA Campaign Initiatives launched by the State Government because they have the necessary resources needed to fight drug abuse, as the coming together of different bodies to curb the menace will create more effect in getting to the root of the problem”, Dupe noted.

She said that the LASKADA campaign would serve as a clarion call and a reminder to every individual, organization and the society at large on the effect of drug abuse in the society.

He enjoined parents and guardians to give good parental care to their wards.

“Parents must be very observant and pay cursory attention to their children’s behavior and be on the look-out for strange attitudes and behavioral changes that may be drug-induced,” she said.

The Association promised continuous support in the fight against drug abuse in the stat.
