Contrasting scenes happened on the final day of this summer transfer market in Premier League between Everton and Manchester United as they achieved two different outcomes on their moves.
The Toffees were able to create that early season excitement once again for their devotees as they confirmed three more signings on Thursday, Bernard on a free transfer was tagged along by YerryAnd Mina and Andre Gomes, who both arrived from Barcelona.
Marco Silva’s side grabbed free agent Bernard, beating competition from AC Milan and Chelsea, though it seems like both clubs simply not keen on paying the wage requirement asked by the Brazilian winger’s agent.
Meanwhile, Yerri Mina arrived at Everton on permanent basis amid previous rumors of Man United interest on the Colombian international.
As for Gomes, the Portuguese arrived on a paid loan deal, giving that extra bolster in midfield for the Toffees as they hope to achieve something good in the league this season.
Man United’s failure in acquiring at least one defender up til the final day of Premier League transfer window pretty much left Mourinho frustrated as he has been moaning about their lack of arrivals this summer.
However, United are not the only team without much activities in the final day of the market, with Tottenham Hotspur also experiencing similar situation.
Spurs didn’t really make any significant moves throughout the whole summer, though they did manage to keep their main squad in tact and believes they are already competitive enough in challenging for trophies this season.
