Inter Milan fans pretend to be Monaco supporters on Instagram in attempt to convince Antonio Candreva to leave
A group of Inter Milan fans have pretended to be Monaco supporters on Instagram in an attempt to persuade Antonio Candreva to leave the club.
Candreva, who is usually deployed on the right wing, has been heavily linked with a move away from Inter.
However, this week Candreva refused to join Monaco as part of a deal that would see Keita Balde Diao become an Inter player, as reported by Football Italia
That has led to Inter fans taking the matter into their own hands as they have bombarded Candreva's Instagram with messages such as 'Come to Monaco'.
This isn't the first time that fans of a club have tried to use Instagram to push through a deal. Last month, Athletico Madrid striker Diego Costa recieved a plethora of messages from fans wanting him to join the Turkish club.
Candreva, who has been capped by Italy on 54 occasions, joined Inter from Lazio two years ago.
Last season Candreva featured frequently for Inter as he made 36 appearances in Serie A. During that time he failed to score a single goal, although he did manage to provide eight assists.
Inter commence their new Serie A campaign on August 19 when they play Sassuolo away.
