Yaya Toure has passed a medical in London ahead of signing for a new club following his release from Manchester City, his agent said.
Toure, 35, has been without a club after leaving Manchester City in the summer after eight years. His exit was acrimonious, with the midfielder questioning whether Pep Guardiola has a bias against African players. He also accused the Manchester City coach of being "cruel" to him, according to an interview with France Football.
His agent, Dimitry Seluk, has claimed Toure is close to a new club but has denied suggestions West Ham are in the running. Manuel Pellegrini, who won the league with Toure at Manchester City in 2014, had been linked with a move but Seluk wrote on Twitter: "Toure @YayaToure has passed a medical in London. Yaya is close to signing a new contract.
"It's not West Ham, 100%. Yaya is a champion. The last place is not for him."
