Airlines are becoming nasty, remember the united airlines maltreatment of the 69 year old doctor?
In another airline encounter, British Airways flight kicked off a couple from a flight en-route Jamaica from London when the couple asked for an upgrade in flight.
The couple who had asked that their flight be upgraded from economy to business class had a quarrel with the cabin crew which led to the pilot making a detour and dropping them off at a Portuguese air force base.
Military officials confirmed that the flight in which the accident occurred which was headed for Kingston Jamaica after take off from Gatwick was flight BA2263.
Flight-tracking data shows the plane left Gatwick for Kingston at 11.36am on Wednesday.
The data showed the plane started to divert from its intended flight path, doing a double back to the island of Terceira after which it left there at about 7.15pm, to return back to London at 10.36pm
this incident is occurring just after the newly elected Ghanaian president criticized the airline for " "shoddy" treatment towards its customers.
He even accused BA of ‘taking us a little for granted’. The comments follow a barrage of complaints from travellers over poor service on BA flights.
It has been criticised after it stopped providing free sandwiches, snacks and drinks on flights lasting less than five hours.
The policy could now be extended to long-haul flights for passengers in economy class.
The airline has also came under fire for plans to cut legroom from 30 inches to 29 on some of its planes – an inch less than on Ryanair planes.
