Music star falls off stage, breaks rib

American country music star, Jennifer Odessa Nettles, who is also a songwriter and actress suffered a broken rib after falling off of a stage in New York City.Jennifer Nettles, who lead singer of the country duo Sugarland, tripped over a bulky lighting fixture as she was about to take the stage as part of a Time Inc. presentation to advertisers on Thursday morning at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

She later tweeted this:

"Hi loves. Thanks for all your kind wishes. Broken rib and banged up, but grateful. Maybe slowly moving for a bit. But I'll rally."
