Osun West APC chairman claims late Sen.Adeleke didn't eat at his grandmother's burial

Following the inquest into the death of Senator Adeleke, ordered by the Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola, Mr. Amobi Akintola, has said that the late senator did not eat at his grandmother - late Bilikisu Salimonu's burial, on April 22.


Akintola said this  giving evidence in front of a Coroner probing the Adeleke death on Monday.

He said Adeleke who attended the burial party with about 30 political aides and allies, did not eat any food served him, even though  those who came with him ate.

The witness said he had served the late senator Remmy Martins, but the senator brought out Remmy Martins drink from his car and drank together with his friends, hence the deceased did not touch the drinks he (the witness) served him.

Dr. Adebisi Adenle,the Chief Medical Director of Biket Hospital, Osogbo, , also said Adeleke was already dead on arrival at the hospital at about 10:15am on April 23.

Adenle said pronounced Adeleke dead and asked the family to take the corpse to LAUTECH teaching hospital since his hospital lacked a mortuary facility.
