Liberian President award Arsène Wenger the Liberia’s Highest Honour



The former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger received an award from the football star  President George Weah of the country’s highest honor – the Knight Grand Commander of the Humane Order of African Redemption on Friday in a ceremony for services to African football that included launching Weah’s own acclaimed career.

The crowd and spectators hailed and cheered  Wenger as he received his medal in a hall at the national stadium adorned with the national red, white and blue.

Prior to the conferment of the national honour, both Wenger and Weah went to the field to see Monrovia Football Academy youngsters showcase their football talents in a match against Cece United Academy.

In Weah word to Wenger during a ceremony in the capital Monrovia he said “You proved yourself as a teacher when you revolutionized forever the approach of scouting young talents all over the planet, particularly throughout Africa,”
