Manchester United's Marcus Rashford warned after England performance

Marcus Rashford has been warned he risks annoying his team-mates if he doesn't start to take his chances, according to former Chelsea midfielder Vinnie Jones.

The Manchester United forward has been heavily criticised in recent days after he missed two golden opportunities to score in England's UEFA Nations League game against Croatia on Friday.

Some have argued he needs to leave Old Trafford in order to improve while others have questioned his goal-scoring ability after he failed to get on the score sheet in Rijeka.

And Jones, who retired in 1999, discussed the 20-year-old's form on Talk Sport and claims that his team-mates will soon start getting on his back for his missed chances.

Here's Jones two minute scathing assessment in full:

"You cannot keep missing like he's missing, you've got to start putting these chances in the back of the onion bag. Because at the end of the day the players are going to start.

"Little rumours and they will start taking the mickey. Wimbledon, Chelsea, those teams I was in, we would have started taking the mickey by now. He's had enough chances, how many chances does the top calibre get? Messi, Ronaldo, they are top quality strikers.

"When Rashford came on the scene I thought he was going to be the real deal, but he seems to have levelled out and I wish had gone on and gone through that barrier to be an unbelievable player.

"He does everything right, until the end.

"So what that he's only 20? If you're good enough, you're old enough. If you can't score you start getting a bit of stick and players will be getting irritated because there was a good win on the table there against Croatia and he didn't take one chance.

"If I was a player I would be starting to get wound up about it. It would wind me up too much. I'm not getting on his back, I'm a big fan of the lad. But, to be up there with the best you have to score.
