Internationally respected heart surgeon found guilty of molesting two women.

Mohamed Amrani, a 53-year-old internationally respected heart surgeon, who worked at the Harefield Hospital in west London, is on trial at the Old Bailey over accusations from five women between 2001 and 2014. He has been found guilty of molesting two women.
Amrani denied all the claims against him and pleaded not guilty.

One of the victims told the court how she lodged a complained to the hospital about being indecently assaulted and was told 'just ignore him, he does it to everyone'.

Her husband said it was 'a pretty devastating event' in her life.

The husband told the court she came home and was 'very very upset', adding: 'My wife told me she had been groped and I understood that to be touching her over her clothing in a sexual manner.'

A jury deliberated for 20 hours to find him guilty of twice indecently assaulting a woman by groping her breasts through her clothes between 2003 and 2004 and sexually assaulting another woman in 2014.

Amrani was acquitted of four counts of indecent assault, two of assault by penetration and one of sexual assault.
