33-year-old man arraigned for allegedly defiling 13 and 11 years old boys

Ibrahim Ahmed, 33-year-old man who paints for a living, was arraigned in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Friday for allegedly defiling two male minors.
Ahmed was charged with sexual assault. He is a resident of 17, Akinjobi St., Moricas, Agege, Lagos

Insp Clifford Ogu, the Police Prosecutor, told the court that the offences were committed between March and April at Moricas, Agege.

Ogu stated that the accused lured the boys, aged 13 and 11 years, into his workshop on two different occasions and defiled them through their anus.

“The sister to one of the boys caught the duo while they were attempting to practice the act.

“When she asked them where they learnt it, they said the accused had been engaged in the act with them for more than a month now,” he said.

Ogu stated that the offence contravened Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 and added that the case was reported to the police and the accused was apprehended.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.



The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Taiwo Akanni, granted the accused bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till June 5 for mention.
