JAMB halts UTME in LAUTECH

With respect to an earlier report that students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State on Monday disallowed entry into the institution in a bid to protest against the ill treatment from the two owners of the institution, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has cancelled its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that was scheduled to hold in the school earlier today.

The Director of Press of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, explained that the decision was taken to avoid any of its examination candidates being injured in the process.

According to Benjamin, the candidates would be relocated to other centers soon.

He said: “We have noticed the insistence of the protesting students and it would not be safe to employ force. The candidates will be reallocated to other centers; they should monitor their emails to know where they would be posted to.”
