Paul Pogba's brilliant tribute to Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Paul Pogba has taken to Instagram to pay tribute to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored his 500th career goal in spectacular style over the weekend.

Ibrahimovic left Manchester United in March to join LA Galaxy, and he has hit the ground running at his new club.

On Saturday night, with Galaxy trailing 3-0 to Toronto FC, a spinning Ibrahimovic hooked a long ball past the goalkeeper with the back of his heel.

It was a fitting goal to mark an impressive personal achievement - and Ibrahimovic reacted in typical style.

He told reporters after the game: "I'm happy for Toronto because they'll be remembered as my 500th victim."

Although Galaxy lost 5-3, the game will undoubtedly be remembered for Ibrahimovic's landmark goal.

After the game, Paul Pogba showed his respect for his former teammate on Instagram and likened the spectacular goal to a martial arts move.

Wearing an LA Galaxy shirt, Pogba said: "Zlatan, I don't know if I have to say the lion, the cat, the dog, I don't know," before spinning around himself and reenacting the goal.

"No Zlatan, respect, respect," he continued.

"I tell you to play football but you watch too much Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Bruce Lee and try to kick the ball [like a] scorpion, whatever. But that was a nice goal."
