Manchester United were given a big injury boost ahead of the game against Chelsea with the return of Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic included in the travelling party.
Matic, who withdrew from international duty with a back injury, was amongst the group boarding the train to London as was Herrera who has been missing for a month with an injury.
Jose Mourinho had suggested he could have had an injury crisis on his hands with the comments on Friday morning when he was asked if any of the injured players would be returning for the game at Stamford Bridge.
"Some came back in good condition and the happiness of some good results," Mourinho told MUTV.
"Some came back with injuries, injuries that we were aware of when they happened and the national teams were correct in sending the boys back. We also had surprises with players that we had no idea that they were injured and they arrived with important injuries.
"The squad shape is that everybody available is selected."
Pushed on who would be available for the game, Mourinho said: "Players that are going to make an effort to be available for the team, like Herrera. He trained two days but, with the situation we have, is one step forward and he’s ready to help us."
As the squad arrived at Stockport Station to get the train down to London on Friday afternoon, they were given a boost as a number of injured players returned.
Ander Herrera, who has not featured since the win against Burnley was there, as was Marcos Rojo who has not been involved at all for the first team this season.
However, a number of big name players weren't spotted getting on the train. Alexis Sanchez was one of those players but there's a possibility that he could have stayed down in London as he only arrived back to Heathrow after international break late on Thursday night.
MEN photographers didn't spot Phil Jones, Diogo Dalot, Marouane Fellaini, Scott McTominay, Jesse Lingard or Antonio Valenica boarding the train.
There have been times in the past when players have got on the train at other stations which is also a possibility.
Mourinho was asked about his return to Stamford Bridge and insisted he would remain calm if United scored.
"For me is another game, would I celebrate like crazy my team goal at Stamford Bridge or my team victory at Stamford Bridge?" Mourinho said.
"I don't think so, I think I would try to control myself and to respect the stadium and the supporters that were my supporters and stadium for many years, to do that should be something I completely lost my emotional control, which is not easy, so I would think which stadium I am, which public is in the stands but apart from that is another match for me.
"I want to do well for my team, players, support, I am 100% Manchester United tomorrow, no more space than respect for the stadium and the fans."
