Ooni of Ife Oba Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) has responded to media reports on the issue of the Oba of Lagos Oba Rilwan Akiolu snubbing him at a a public function on Tuesday April 25th.
Oba Ogunwusi said he would continue to accord the Oba of Lagos his due respect.
He added that he was not bothered by Oba Akiolu’s action rather he is committed to ensuring unity among traditional rulers in the land.
The Ooni who gave his statement via his Director of Media and Public Affairs of Ooni on Wednesday said;
“Nobody should castigate anybody” for doing what he did because of the position he holds and because of his age.
Ooni would not stop according his colleagues and every category of people the respect they deserve.
